Why a Special Offering?
As part of God’s plan to grow the faith of the people in His church, He calls us to sacrificial giving from time to time. The Annual Christmas Offering is an opportunity for us to grow in our faith and to prepare us for what God wants to do through our church in 2024 and beyond. This offering is not because we are behind on budget, but rather is to position us to make a greater impact in our church and in our community.
What’s the difference between the regular tithe and this Special Offering?
To start, The tithe belongs to God. The tithe (first 10% of income) is to be given to the church on a consistent basis to be obedient to God and for the ministry of the church. An offering is over and above the tithe. In addition to your tithe, we ask the people of CATALYST CHURCH to give generously to the Christmas Offering to grow our faith and to receive the blessings that come from generosity.
How much should I give?
In order to reach our goal of $100,000, we are asking everyone to give. Please prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift that will stretch your faith. The amount you give is between you and God. Some can give a $1,000, $5,000 or even a $10,000 gift. Others will be able to give between $100 and $500. And still others may sacrificially give $25. No gift is too small. The issue is not equal giving, but equal sacrifice. What amount can you give that will stretch your faith?
Why is the goal so large?
CATALYST CHURCH dares to dream big dreams for God. The ministries supported and the needs among families we help thru this offering are BIG and CRUCIAL. Big dreams require big faith and big funding. The accomplishments of these big dreams will be determined by your gifts to the Christmas Offering.
When should I give?
The best time to give will be Sunday, November 17th. Please pray about making your best gift on that day. However, you can give today and continue to give until December 31, 2024. Remember, consistent gifts over time add up: a person giving $50 per week over an 8-week period will give $400 to the Christmas Offering. All gifts given by December 31, 2024 are tax-deductible for the year.

Are My Gifts Tax-Deductible?
All gifts to CATALYST CHURCH, whether through the regular offering or the Christmas Offering, are completely tax-deductible. Your gift will be deductible in the tax year given (i.e., gifts given in 2024 will be deductible on your 2024 taxes). Please be sure to include your name and address when you give so that a receipt can be sent to you for your tax preparations.
How will I know if we reach our goal?
Please pray for God’s guidance as we all give sacrificially. You will be updated on our giving progress through email updates and during the Sunday gatherings. Reaching this goal will be a celebration of what we can do together to connect more people to Jesus and to one another.
